    Condition for this newspaper is very good+ with slight edge wear, some wear to corners and spine ends, couple of small tears along the edges, fold across the middle (newspaper will be shipped folded).
    24 pages (including the covers).
    Newspaper size is 11 1/2" x 17".
    A satrical, almost underground, university (Ryerson?) published newspaper with the design and layout based on the Toronto Star. Includes sections on Wheels, Lives on Hold, Ghetto Trash, Ass Backwards, Condom Living, Dung Street, Entrapment, Sports, Classified, comics page, Life Style Fashion (some of it quite raunchy). Having stated all this most of the ads appear to be legitimate. Go figure.

    I can't find anything about this newspaper nor other copies listed online.

    Flexible cloth covers which are in poor condition with soiling, staining, darkening along the spine, wear, mottled. Blank pages in front and back are dampstained and soiled, with worm holes(?) to the last 2 blank pages and paste down on rear cover, inside front cover has some separation and gaps at the top and bottom, former owner's name with "Property of..." in pen on front free endpaper (dated 1890). The papers bound-in are in good+ condition, nice actually, with a few small tears to a few issues along the edges, a bit of dampstaining on a few pages, a few issues have a very small mailing label affixed to the front of the first page of an issue. This volume could use a new binding.
    1 to 416pp (each issue is page numbered consecutively), 26 issues in total.
    Flexible green cloth book, size is 10" x 14 1/2".
    A bound volume of the first 26 issues of The Week published in Toronto. According to Wikipedia, "The Week was a seminal literary magazine in Canada published between 1883 and 1896. It was subtitled as Canadian Journal of Politics, Society and Literature. It was 'Canada's leading political and literary periodical'. The magazine was headquartered in Toronto. Prominent contributors included poet Charles G. D. Roberts; journalist and novelist Sara Jeannette Duncan; and political critic and intellectual Goldwin Smith. Smith also edited the magazine." Topics covered in most issues are "Events of the Week", "Literature", "The Periodicals", "Contributed Articles", and more.

    The first 12 issues were edited by Charles G. D. Roberts, he left due to long hours and disagreements with the founder Godwin Smith (all 12 issues edited by Roberts are present in this volume).

    A scarce volume of this early Toronto newspaper / journal.

    Condition for this mailer is good+ with some wear to corners, 3 fold marks (from folding down to mail / letter size), there are 10 pieces stated (eight samples at 1 ½” x 3 ¾” size and two located at the bottom size is ½” x 3 ¾”) however maybe during original mailing one of the small strips became affixed to the second from top swatch on the left side (if the card is folded as it was for mailing the small strip lines up perfectly to the now vacated spot at the bottom left, the intended location). The back of the card has some staining scuffing and soiling.Size opened is 14” x 11”, size folded 4 ½” x 11”.
    A scarce mailer from the Toronto based H & H Auto Top Manufacturing Company with actual samples (swatches) of seat covering affixed “New 1935 Patterns” on the front. The back of the card has a 1935 price list, the mailing info panel, and two texture samples.

    Original flyer for J. B. Salsberg who emigrated to Canada in 1913. Through hard work and dedication Mr. Salsberg not only made his mark on Toronto politics but all of Canada. "Salsberg was a popular MPP inside and outside the house and was respected by members of all parties. He was instrumental in the introduction of the Racial Discrimination Act, 1944 which he proposed as a result of posted notices banning Jews and Blacks from various swimming pools in Toronto and as a result of other cases of anti-Semitism and racism in the province. Ed "Don" George on the front, and Yvon Robert and Bibber McCoy on the inside. The back has an ad for Golden Virginia cigarettes. SCARCE.

    Soft cover book, size is 6 3/4" x 10"; map size is 34" x 19".
    An official city report from the City Engineer of Toronto published in 1904 for the year 1903. This is an in-depth report on the cities' utilities and roadways, there are sections on population, sewage, roadways, street railways, a large map of the city, a plan of the Western Toronto Garbage Crematory. There is also a list of then Toronto streets with the year they were first laid and class of pavement.

    The highlight of this book is a large map (34" x 19") of Toronto with street names, of course, some of the more prominent buildings, and colour-coded streets to show the type of road covering used (e.g. gravel, asphalt, brick, stone, etc).

    A scarce report.
